Worship is serious business as far as God is concerned and He wants His people to so consider it when they approach Him. A superficial attitude only reveals a basic unfamiliarity with God on the part of the worshiper. By bringing into the worship experience things incompatible with the nature and character of God can only bring reproach upon the congregation and leadership. The trend today to drag elements of our culture into a service set apart for the worship of God must displease Him.

A couple of years ago we sent out a Warning itemizing a number of facts about Bill Johnson’s ministry and Bethel Church in Redding. Numerous witnesses and videos from Bethel show that this church is spreading an “anointing” very similar to Todd Bentley – i.e. spiritual “drunkenness,” jerking, hysterical laughter, “angel orbs,” “fire tunnels,” spirit travel, mystical “portals,” etc. Plus constant talk in their ministry school of bizarre angel encounters and trips to the “third heaven.” All of it has an extremely “New Age” feel. We should warn LGBT individuals that God will not tolerate those who destroy His order of creation. Because He loves us, the Lord says “I will punish those who do evil.” Truly, LGBT are destroying themselves and other people around them. Our Creator’s relational, loving nature shows us the ways He provides for us to have a good life on earth and how to receive eternal life in glory with Him. It is written: “He made them male and female and declared that the two become one.” God gave us our sexual natures and explains to us what is good and right about it. On the other hand, every deviant practice is bent on destroying God’s creation and refusing His care for us. LGBT individuals destroy themselves and others by bringing judgment upon themselves and a destructive influence on our community. No nation that embraces deviant sexual behavior has ever, nor can ever, survive as free.
