According to published reports, David Yonngi Cho, 78, pastor of the world’s largest Pentecostal/Charismatic church, Yoido Full Gospel Church in South Korea, was convicted last week of embezzlement and tax-evasion, and sentenced to three years in prison. Cho founded the church that now boasts more than 1 million members, in 1958, and short time afterward affiliated the church with the Assemblies of God Pentecostal denomination.
