Intrinsically, government is not an idol to bona fide Christians to whom they look to provide their “daily bread,” as ostensibly it is to myriad socialism-indoctrinated Americans today. From their earliest childhood catechisms and Sunday School tutorials, even nominal believers have ingrained in their mind via repeated recitation of the memorized “Lord’s Prayer” that believers petition God, not government, for daily sustenance and life’s provisions.

Genuine believers regard no natural entity as the ultimate source and provider of the essentials of life, and know that to do so is idolatry of the highest order. Our source and provider is God! We recognize we are IN the world, yet we are by no means OF this world. Our life on this planet is not limited to or by the world’s system; rather we live by another system–the Kingdom of God. For us, our petition, according to the model prayer Jesus commended to us, is that God’s will be done “ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN.” There are no hungry, lacking, poor, unwhole, unwell, neglected, or needy saints in Heaven. It’s that system believers have opted into.

Believers don’t cast a vote every two, four, or six years for earthly politicians, but have cast their vote of affirmation and agreement ONCE AND FOR ALL for the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, as our Guide, Teacher, and unfailing Provider! They have not entrusted their lives and well-being to any mortal, fallible, sin-corrupted human or any fallacious humanly-contrived ideology, but rather to a Superhuman Savior, Sovereign God, and the everlasting Truth!

When legitimate believers participate, per their civic duty, in earthly political elections, they hold no delusions of it being anything other than an earthly, human system they are participating in, and know that the Supreme Ruler of the Cosmos is/will be still on the Throne regardless the outcome of any earthly election. (The notion, by the way, that Christians should not participate in the politic system, which I believe is pure agitprop proliferated by Marxist moles, is utterly nonsensical and patently unbiblical. Fact is: Christians, of all people, should participate.)

Though at times we too may be tempted to despair at the debacle taking place in our nation and world, obedient believers nevertheless despair not, knowing that the mighty Conquering Christ still reigns supreme, and thus instructs us:

“These things I have spoken unto you that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulations, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” (Jn. 16:33)

Notwithstanding, many of us American believers find it difficult to summarily shake off the unsettling sentiment that the systematic dismantling of our democratic system and republic engenders within our patriotic souls. Heaven is our ultimate “Home,” where our spiritual citizenship is, of course, but America is our natural national home while we occupy this “earthly tent,” holding dual citizenship and natures. Many of us, compelled by our deep-seated national allegiance, have given of ourselves and lives in service to our country in some capacity, whether military, civil or civic organizations, political involvements, or some other form of voluntarism. We still stand at attention and get chills every time we hear the National Anthem, can barely resist the emotional reflex to salute the flag following the final whole note, and choke up as we proudly recite the Pledge of Allegiance. When fellow Floridian Lee Greenwood sings, “I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free,” he’s not singing solo, but is only one voice in a choir of many other proud Americans singing every word right along with him…maybe a little staccato…and maybe a little off-pitch…but sublimely melodiously nonetheless.

So, yes, it’s been more than a little disconcerting for the majority of us “boomers,” over more than half a century now, to witness the gradual erosion of the foundations upon which this great democratic republic was founded. The “unalienable rights” to which the Founding Fathers ascribed so profoundly and eloquently in one of our nation’s most sacred seminal documents, The Declaration of Independence, (despite the President’s sophomoric mis-attribution of it to the Constitution in his SOTU address a few weeks ago), are being systematically supplanted by the plenary activism of a decided minority who with their relentless and resounding hue and cry for the establishment of secular humanism-based Marxism have successfully convinced a majority of voting Americans that they comprise the majority, and that the majority of Americans subscribe to and support their anti-American, anti-God, humanistic, Marxist agenda.

At the conclusion of the Constitutional Convention of 1787, when an exhausted, now in failing health, Benjamin Franklin emerged from the nearly four-months long grueling ordeal, the story goes, as chronicled by one of Maryland’s delegates to the Convention, Dr. James McHenry, “A lady asked Dr. Franklin, ‘Well, Doctor, what have we got a republic or a monarchy?’ ‘A republic, replied the Doctor, if you can keep it.'” Unfortunately, Franklin’s response was all too prescient and portentous. Only 221 years after that lengthy, hard-fought political mêlée in which the details of a republic were hammered out ended, the generations extant in 2008 indeed failed to “keep it.” The democratic republic the Founding Fathers entrusted to the stewardship of future generations was indeed supplanted and replaced with a Marxist oligarchy that is so entrenched in every aspect of the federal government, in particular—elected and otherwise—that arresting and reversing it, and extirpating its constituency of Marxist operatives from the federal bureaucracy, will be an extremely arduous and protracted undertaking that may very well require decades to accomplish.

All that, my friend, is more than a little troubling! It causes a righteous indignation to rise up within many patriotic Americans who are “proud to be Americans,” proud of this nation and what it stands for, and grateful to God we were born such.

The extant Information/Technology Age propels the world events cycle at such a frenetic pace that few today appreciate that it was less than 70 years ago, when the “Boomer Generation” began, that the “Great War”—WWII—ended, wherein our nation ultimately became the lead nation in defeating attempted world-conquest by four crazed, devil-possessed megalomaniacs, each operating from a different ideology for world-hegemony: Hitler (Nazism), Hirohito (Imperialism), Mussolini (Fascism), and Stalin (Communism). Can it possibly be that we, as a nation, have so quickly forgotten the hard-fought costly victories obtained in that momentous struggle to defeat world aggression predicated on ideologies wholly antithetical to those of this nation and the precious price that was paid by “The Greatest Generation” to secure them?

Irrefutably, the world we live in today is a far different world as the first half century of post-WWII, when our nation was the lead nation in putting down attempted world conquest by a crazed megalomaniac (Nazism) and an imperialist society (imperialism), as well as global proliferation of socialism, fascism, and communism. The stark fact is that since WWII America has slowly but steadily moved from being a democratic republic to being an outright oligarchy (rule by a few) in every sense that oligarchies existed in past eras and previous societies. The oligarchy that has hijacked our nation is comprised of a relatively small (at the most, 15%) enclave of Marxist elitists that has surreptitiously infiltrated and systematically seized control of the segments of our society and substructures where true power rests: the executive, legislative, and judiciary branches of the federal government, commerce, financial institutions, the media, the educational system, and even the religious sector. As I have stated in previous articles, the communization of America, for all intents and purposes, is fait accompli!

The 2008 and 2012 elections in this nation, though few realized it, were about instituting a New Age hybrid of socialism, founded upon an anti-God, secular-humanism-based ideology, that is entirely opposed to all semblance of democracy “of the people, for the people, and by the people,” “under God,” as well as everything predicated on the laws and principles of the Kingdom of God. In sum, at this hour, in the aftermath of the two most pivotal elections in our national history, the momentum clearly is with the relatively small segment of zealots comprising the extreme left, whose political and moral doctrine is essentially anti-God, anti-morality, anti-religion, anti-America, anti-democracy, anti-republic, anti-Constitution, and anti-capitalism. If the Democratic Party is going to continue to be the political melting-pot of those embracing this hodgepodge of debauched ideology, they might as well change the name of their party to the Debauchery Party.

Though the term is nowhere evoked in the document itself, a genuinely democratic republic was born out of the auspices of the Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1776. Indeed, the Founding Fathers with this document and in the formulation of the Constitution envisioned a nation whose government “deriving [its] just powers from the consent of the governed”—a system of governance truly “of the people, for the people, and by the people.” Intrinsically, such language connotes the majority of the people. Yet, what we now have holding the reigns of control over our beloved nation is rule by an elite and terroristic minority, and the democracy intended by the Founding Fathers has been totally supplanted by a de facto oligarchy.

All that remains now is the question: What will be the collective will of the people? Will the American people cave and capitulate, as have so many other nations under assault by Marxist aggressors intent on hegemony—such as the Cuban people, for example, who allowed ONE MAN to rule over their nation and lives for more than half a century—or will We The People rise up and find a way to take back our nation—”Land that I (and millions of other God-fearing true patriots) love?”###
